Supreme Queen Dedicates Third Gold Plaque

The day was phenomenal!!  Supreme Queen Vesta Marshal was greeted at Shriners Hospital for Children® - Canada by 2 Royal Canadian Mounted Police.  Approximately 200 people were on hand to witness the presentation of the third Gold Plaque by the Daughters of the Nile to the Canadian Hospital, representing $3 Million dollars given to this hospital. 
Imperial Chief Rabban George Mitchell and Imperial Sir Ralph Semb presented a philanthropic society plaque to Supreme Queen Vesta Marshall.  Supreme Queen Vesta remarked, "This was a very emotional day from start to finish and one I will remember forever.  We were all very proud to be Daughters of the Nile."

A large group gathered to celebrate the third Gold Plaque at Shriners Hospitals for Children® - Canada

(left) Patient Jérémy Gabriel shares his story and sings for the audience.  Jérémy was born completely deaf and given the ability to hear thanks to the Shriners Hospital BAHA program funded by the Daughters of the Nile. He has performed for the Pope and sung the national anthem at major sporting events in Montreal. 

Dr. Lucie Lessard who is responsible for the Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) program at SHC-Canada congratulates Jérémy and expresses how proud she is of him.  Dr. Lessard has been able to perform more than 70 BAHA implants thanks to the Daughters of the Nile support.

Patient Anna Maria and her mom share their experience with Shriners Hospitals for Children®.  Anna Maria later presented the Supreme Queen with a white rose.
